Chorvelle gets going at Sagicor

Sagicor Bank's new CEO, Chorvelle Johnson, assumes office today, almost two months after her appointment was first announced on December 5 last year.

Christopher Zacca, president and chief executive officer of Sagicor Group Jamaica, expressed his enthusiasm on Johnson formally joining the team.

"We are excited to officially have Chorvelle on board," said Zacca.

He added, "Chorvelle has had an impressive track record and is quite a dynamic and results, oriented leader, and we are confident she will bring a new level of client experience, growth and profitability to Sagicor Bank."

Johnson has held senior management positions in companies including First Global, and most recently at Proven Wealth and Proven Fund Managers.

On joining the Sagicor team, Johnson expressed her own delight and anticipation. "I am extremely energised and elated to lead the SB team to new heights in my new role as CEO.," said Johnson.

"The journey and the opportunities ahead, especially working very close with my team and other stakeholders to enhance our service delivery for our clients and shareholders, will continue to be of utmost importance," added Johnson.

As the chief executive officer of the bank, Johnson will also be appointed to sit on the board as a non-independent director.
