Dr Janet Dyer new HEART Trust/NTA managing director
Dr Janet Dyer has been appointed managing director of the HEART Trust/National Training Agency effective February 1.
Dr Dyer's association with HEART Trust/NTA spans some 32 years, beginning as a trainee at the Runaway Bay HEART Academy in 1986.
HEART Trust/NTA chairman Edward Gabbidon said Dyer’s personal and professional career with the agency has been a remarkable Jamaican success story.
HEART Trust says Dyer, who has been the acting managing director since November 1, 2017, was selected after an extensive recruitment and selection exercise.
The exercise was led and managed by the Board of Directors through its Human Resources Committee.
Dyer's appointment coincides with the current merger among the HEART Trust/NTA, the Jamaican Foundation for Lifelong Learning, the National Youth Service and the Apprenticeship Board.
Dyer is a former Director/Principal of HEART’s Northeast Technical Vocational Education and Training Institute; and served as Director of Technical Services in the Career Advancement Programme while on secondment to the Ministry of Education, Youth & Information.
