NWC confirms it wrongly applied late fee to numerous customer accounts

The National Water Commission (NWC) has confirmed that it has wrongly applied late fees for bill payments to the accounts of numerous customers.

In a notice to customers, the NWC said the $250 charge was applied to accounts in several billing cycles.

The commission said it is currently assessing the situation and is also taking the necessary steps to correct the problem in the shortest possible time.
