Gas prices are to go up by $1.32 effective Thursday, May 3.
As a result, a litre of E10 87 will sell for $127.70 while E10 90 will sell for $130.53 per litre.
Automotive diesel oil will move up by $1.46 per litre to sell for $124.76.
The price of kerosene will go up by $1.49 to sell for $107.57 per litre.
Propane cooking gas will sell for $46.90, after moving up by $2.22 while butane moves up by $1.64 to sell for $50.24.
Retailers will add their mark-ups to the announced prices.
“Movements in Petrojam’s product prices are reflective of changes in the prices of the relevant petroleum products within the US Gulf Coast (USGC) Region,” the state-owned oil refinery said in a statement Wednesday.
“Of note, over the past few weeks, prices have been generally increasing, having been influenced by market perception in relation to the pending decision by the US regarding its continued participation in the Iran Nuclear Agreement, and the possible effects that this decision could have on the petroleum market,” Petrojam further said.
