JDF searching for missing small plane with three aboard

A Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) rescue team is now conducting a search operation for a small aircraft with three persons aboard which went off radar yesterday afternoon.
Civil Military Cooperation and Media Affairs Officer at the JDF Major Basil Jarrett told The Gleaner this morning that the rescue effort has been intensified with the use of two helicopters alongside a search plane.
Jarrett said the operation started yesterday but had to be abandoned because of bad weather.
He said the operation resumed this morning, adding that there is still no sign of the missing plane or the occupants.
It's reported that the small aircraft with two Jamaican pilots and a mechanic departed from the Sangster International Airport in St James about 4:36 p.m. destined for the Tinson Pen Aerodrome in St Andrew.
It's further reported that sometime after taking off the plane went off the radar over Duncans in Trelawny.
The plane is owned by Jamaican businessman & CEO of domestic local carrier, International Airlink, Howard Levy.
Levy was not aboard the missing aircraft.
