UPDATE: It's Official! Ireland votes to lift abortion ban

The Republic of Ireland has voted 66.4 per cent to 33.6 per cent to overturn the ban on abortion in that country.
The official result of the abortion referendum was announced earlier today, sealing a landslide win for those in favour of repealing the ban.
As a result, the Eighth Amendment of Ireland’s Constitution, which grants equal right to life to both mother and unborn child, will be replaced.
Currently, abortion is only allowed in cases where a woman's life is at risk. It is not allowed in cases of rape, incest or fatal foetal abnormality.
The only constituency to vote against repealing the Eight Amendment was Donegal, where 51.9 per cent voted in favour of retaining the ban.
