Curfew imposed in Cassava Piece, extended in Gregory Park
The police have imposed a curfew in Cassava Piece, Kingston 8 in light of the spate of murders and shootings in the area.
The curfew began at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, June 07 and will remain in effect until 6:00 p.m., Saturday, June 09.
The boundaries of the curfew are as follows:
NORTH – Along Glen Drive from the intersection Mannings Hill Road and Glen Drive with an imaginary line to Grosvenor Terrace.
SOUTH – Along Clifton Boulevard from the intersection of Mannings Road and Clifton Boulevard with an imaginary line to Constant Spring Road.
EAST – From Grosvenor Terrace to Constant Spring Road.
WEST – From the intersection of Glen drive and Mannings Hill Road to the intersection of Clifton Boulevard and Mannings Hill Road.
During the hours of the curfew, all persons within the boundaries are required to remain within their premises unless otherwise authorised in writing by the ground commander.
Meanwhile, the curfew that was imposed in sections of Gregory Park in Portmore, St. Catherine on Tuesday and which ended yesterday has been extended for another 48 hours and will remain in effect until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 9.
The boundaries of the curfew are as follows:
NORTH – Along Dyke Road from the round-a-bout to the intersection of Portmore Villa Boulevard and Dyke Road.
SOUTH – Along the train line from Dyke Road to Municipal Boulevard.
EAST – Along Dyke Road from the intersection of Portmore Villa Boulevard to the train line in the vicinity of National Water Commission Sewage Plant.
WEST- Along the Municipal Boulevard from the train line to the round-a-bout.
During the hours of the curfew, all persons within the boundaries are required to remain within their premises unless otherwise authorised in writing by the ground commander.
