The Nestle Jamaica team, true to their commitment to enhance the quality of life while contributing to a brighter future, hosted its family fun day and picnic on the lawns of the Hope Zoo recently. The staff and family fun day, which is the first in a series of activities throughout June, is set to commemorate the 78th anniversary of Nestle in Jamaica.

Daniel Caron, Nestle Jamaica country manager, expressed pleasure that the company was able to host the more than 100 staff members and their families to a day of good food and fun. "Many corporate entities are not able to celebrate such a significant milestone for so many reasons, not least among them that they no longer exist, but Nestle has established solid roots in the Jamaican marketplace and in the consumers' hearts and minds, that we have weathered 78 years and are still going strong." He continued, "We can really celebrate today, and much of this is owed to the contributions of our employees, past and present, so we are thanking them first," he noted.

The thank you Nestle gave their staff was indeed remarkable, with every unit from the organisation included; from sales and marketing, distribution and logistics to administration being feted, thanks to a number of their mainstream brands from culinary - Maggi, through the catering of their popular street style ambassadors; to Orchard juices as well as confectionery products via Kit Kat and Nestle ice cream.

Nestle's 78 years in service to Jamaica has witnessed a wide cross section of nutrition health and wellness innovations, including locally formulated milk-based products and household name spices, not to mention powdered beverage favourites Milo and Nesquick, that have rooted the brand into households across the island.
