Molynes Road/Washington Boulevard traffic lights to be suspended Friday

The National Works Agency (NWA) will be temporarily taking out of operation on Friday, the traffic signals at the Washington Boulevard/Molynes Road intersection in St Andrew as part of a road improvement project there.

NWA manager of communication and customer services Stephen Shaw says the traffic signals will be turned off at 9:30 a.m. and switched back on at 5:30 p.m

During this period, the traffic signals and control cabinet will be relocated as part of a project to widen the Washington Boulevard where it intersects Molynes Road.

"This is one of several improvements that are being made to select roadways in the Corporate Area, which have been identified to serve as alternative routes during the period of major road works currently taking place at Three Miles and other locations," Shaw said.

He said the police will help with directing traffic management while the lights are out.
