Diary of a Ghetto Priest | Heaven, is there such a place?
Is there such a person named Christ who walked, lived and breathed on the face of the earth? Yes or no? Christ says, "In my Father's house there are many mansions. If not, I would have told you because I go to prepare a place for you." (John 4:2).
All that Jesus did was reported by the Gospel writers. They are witnesses. If you believe in His life and what He says, then you believe there is heaven.
From His days until now, people have reported His works from generation to generation. There have been hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands, millions, billions; and today, there are close to two billion or a third of all living people, and cumulatively, over the thousands of years, there are millions of millions and billions of billions who believed.
Believers
True, some are careless or shallow believers, but millions of holy people have emerged, touched by Christians and the leaders. Can they just be all foolish or silly people who believe in the soul, the spiritual life, and, Jesus Christ the King of King and Lord of Lords who lived here on earth, and worked and taught and claimed to be the Son of God - telling us and providing through His good words and actions, life from the soul for which He is the Maker.
He has a place called heaven, where He and His followers will be after this temporary body perishes and material passes away. He who said and done such magnificent truths and deeds, witnessed by so many, how can it all be false?
THEY MUST PROVE THAT CHRIST DID NOT EXIST
The onus of unbelievers is on them. They must prove that Christ did not exist, and, that His words are false. After all He has done, how can He not be God? If He is not God, Christ is a liar for having said that He is in heaven, and He prepares a house for everyone who lives and works good deeds in His kingdom: "Come, you blessed of my Father, possess you the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. (Matt. 25:34)
Should the Brothers stop their good works which is grounded on the words of Christ? "If you do this for the least of your brothers you have done it unto me"? (Mt. 25). Is it all a lie when Jesus asks us to serve others, especially the poorest of people in His earthly kingdom?
Is the life of all Christians today a falsehood, told by a false founder, Christ?
I would like to see the whole world converted to Christianity, both for the good of the world and for all civilizations, and put aside the evil of selfishness, materialism, and aimlessness. Moreover, I would like to see everyone go to heaven.
Jesus came to earth to make manifest his love for all, including sinners, and, He also He wants us to know His Father "Anyone who knows the Son, knows the Father, and anyone who knows the Father knows the Son." Through Jesus, the one true God is manifested. Like Father, like Son; Jesus and the Father are one.
ENJOY THE ETERNAL REWARD
He wants us to enjoy the eternal reward of Heaven, and to do the works of Jesus, the Beatitudes here on earth: "Come to me, all you who weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me for I am gentle and humble of heart; and you will find rest. For my yoke is easy; and my burden is light."
Heaven, and the King of glory, what else is there to live for? He promises us a life of everlasting joy.
"They are before the throne of God, and they serve Him day and night. There will be no more hunger and thirst, nor should sun fall on them, nor any heat" (Apoc 7). "God should wipe away all tears from their eyes: and death shall be no more, nor mourning, nor crying, nor sorrow, former things shall all pass away.
(Apoc 22:1-4).
Let us all get there. May there be a large contingent of Jamaicans in heaven. Those who are not Christians, let's learn about Him, and enter into a discourse with Him.
