Four killed by gunmen in Clarendon

Four persons were shot dead in two separate incidents in Clarendon last night.

The first incident took place approximately 7:45 p.m at a shop in the Sandy Bay area where six persons were shot with high-powered rifles by unknown assailants

Three of the victims succumbed.

They are: 48-year-old farmer Warren Douglas, 27-year-old Havana Baddal, both of Busy Park, St Catherine; and 17-year-old Kevan Reece, a student of Inverness Drive, Clarendon.

Gunmen struck again less than two hours later in the Canaan Heights area of May Pen where 40-year-old mason Keith Alexander was shot and killed.

Alexander was walking home along a track when he was ambushed by gunmen who shot him in the upper body.

Residents alerted the police and he was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
