Motor vehicle crash claims three lives in Manchester
Three men died in a motor vehicle crash in Porus, Manchester this morning.
The dead men have been identified as: 36-year-old Delroy Lindsay, construction worker of Strickland district, Melrose, Manchester; 29-year-old Oshane Walters, labourer of Melrose; and 42-year-old Derrick Salmon, of an unknown address.
The Porus police report that about 12 midnight Lindsay, who was driving a white Toyota Corolla motor car, was heading towards Clarendon when it is alleged that he overtook a line of traffic and crashed in a BMW motor car on the opposite side of the road.
Both motor vehicles were extensively damaged.
Walters and Salmon, who were passengers in the Corolla along with the driver, were pinned and were eventually removed by members of the Manchester Fire Brigade.
All three men were taken to hospital where they were confirmed dead.
The driver and a passenger in the BMW motor car did not sustain any serious injuries.
