Fake goods seized at Westmoreland supermarket, man charged

Westmoreland resident 48-year-old Yong Ming Wang of Petersfield is to appear in court on Tuesday, October 16 to answer to breaches of the Trademark, Excise and Customs Acts.

He was arrested and later charged on Friday after a team of investigators from the Counter-Terrorism and Organized Crime Investigations Branch conducted an operation at a supermarket and seized counterfeit items.

According to the police, the investigators recovered nineteen 750 millimetre bottles of white overproof rum, three bottles of Campari and five cartons of cigarettes.
