Love of football sealed the deal

It was some friendly rivalry that blew the whistle which kicked off the love story between Jean Jordan and Chris'N Coleman some three years ago.

In fact, the two who got married in June of this year, were delighted to share with Family & Religion that one of the most unique things about their relationship is their love for sports, football really.

"Football season at home is pure fun when a Manchester United lad decides to marry to Chelsea lady. We troll each other when our teams lose," Chris'N said, as her husband agreed and added in the way of that which is unique, that their faithfulness to each other is unmatched.

Jean shared that this mutual sports enthusiasm was just a drop in the bucket where reasons for believing Chris'N is his soul mate was concerned.

According to him: "As if I needed proof! She stood with and by me through a tumultuous foot injury I suffered; she never once left my side.

“However, I knew she the one long before that ordeal in 2016, through the affirmation of the Lord. We meet in April of 2015 and quickly became close friends. I asked the Lord for His guidance, especially in choosing my wife and He affirmed it. Coupled with that is the fact that my parents took a liking to her instantly, so that plus the aforementioned reasons sealed it."

Chris'N matched her husband's account while adding some background.

"We started out following each other on twitter, only communicating about sports, but we never met. So when we found out we were a part of the same church Organisation, we planned to 'link up' after a convocation service.

“After meeting, we just clicked. I was incredibly comfortable so developing a friendship was easy. A relationship wasn't in my thought at that time, but the more I got to know him, the more I thought about 'our' future.

“As we progressed and after praying more about him, everything felt right: it felt real and we were happy. There and then I knew I had found the one," she said.
