Portmore man held in Clarendon with illegal gun

As the parish of Clarendon continues to grapple with an influx of migrant criminals, police say they have arrested a man from Portmore, St Catherine with an illegal gun and ammunition in May Pen.

Augustus Brown, otherwise called Ratty, who is said to be from Portmore, was arrested and charged in a joint military patrol in Canaan Heights Friday night.

Brown was reportedly held with a Luger pistol and seven rounds of ammunition.

A few days ago, another St Catherine man was charged in connection with murder, illegal possess of firearm and ammunition and wounding with intent.

Shane Hannah, also know as 'Most High', was arrested last Monday in Old Harbour.

Hannah was arrested and charged for the murder of taxi operator Nigel Winter in Swansea, Clarendon in September.
