Organisers of the 21st staging of the Sagicor SIGMA Corporate Run say all is in place for the Caribbean’s largest road race which culminates in New Kingston on Sunday morning.

A record-breaking 27,028 people are registered to run, walk and wheel to the finish line in the 5K race.

This surpasses the 25,000 target as well as the 26,519 people who registered last year.

This year, organisers are aiming to raise $52 million for three charitable projects.

The beneficiaries
The Lupus Foundation of Jamaica
The Diabetes Association of Jamaica
The May Pen Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Sigma Run Team Lead Alysia White is excited about this year's staging.

“We do it every year because of the far-reaching impact it has for the beneficiaries we assist and the many lives they touch," she said.

White, who is also the Assistant Vice President of Sagicor Group Marketing at Sagicor, said, she is impressed by the level of support us for the charity event.
