21-y-o man charged for Dr Lynvale Bloomfield's murder

The 21-year-old man who was taken into custody for the murder of Dr Lynvale Bloomfield has been charged by the police.

Anthony Sutherland, of a Buff Bay address in Portland, was formally charged today following a question and answer session with investigators.

Bloomfield, who was the Member of Parliament for East Portland, was found dead at his home in Passley Gardens with multiple stab wounds on February 2.

Sutherland, who was previously questioned and released, was taken back into custody after additional evidence connected him to scene at the time of the murder.

Bloomfield was buried last Saturday.
