Pipeline replacement work to disrupt water supply to several Kingston, St Catherine communities

The National Water Commission (NWC) says several communities in Kingston and St Catherine will be without their regular water supply tomorrow to facilitate the replacement of a pipeline.

It says the Bybrook #2 and Kitson Town water supply systems will be shut down to facilitate the pipeline replacement work tomorrow between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

The communities to be affected include: Kent Village, Spanish Town Road, Molynes Road, Washington Boulevard, Sections of Downtown Kingston, Hamilton Gardens, Christian Gardens and Pen, Newland Road, Cumberland, Cedar Grove, Edgewater, Waterford, Gregory Park, Braeton, Independence City, Hellshire.

Kitson Town, Kitson Town Main Road and all roads leading off, St johns Heights, Mary’s Field, Mercury Gardens. 

Customers are urged to store water where possible for use during the period of disruption.

The NWC says every effort will be made to restore water supply within the shortest possible time.
