About 30 people have been left homeless following a fire that razed a 10-bedroom dwelling at Church and Charles streets in Kingston Wednesday.

The Jamaica Fire Brigade says the loss is estimated at $10 million.

The first started around 2:30 p.m.

It is reported that someone was burning garbage and it got out of control and ignited the building.

Residents tried frantically to save their belongings, but some still lost their furniture and appliances as the fire ripped through the building.
