The Kiwanis Club of North St Andrew recently announced its commitment to implementing a mentorship programme for the wards of the Matthew 25:40 facility, operated by Mustard Seed Communities, in keeping with its mission of “improving the world one child and one community at a time”. The pilot programme will run for 12 months initially, with 60 members of the club already committed to participating in monthly rap sessions, mentoring, skills training, career talks, job interview tips and mock interviews, guidance in the farming project at the facilities, as well as social graces and etiquettes, among other areas. Formalising the commitment are Dwayne Cargill (second right), club president, and Mark Russell (right), distinguished president of the club, with Father Gavin Augustine (left), executive director, Mustard Seed Communities International, and Darcy Tulloch-Williams (second left), executive director of Mustard Seed Communities Jamaica participating.
