Policeman injured in crash with former house speaker Pearnel Charles

The collision took place at the intersection of Perkins Boulevard and Queen’s Hill in St Andrew around 2:00 p.m.

A policeman is now being treated in hospital for injuries received in a crash with an SUV being driven by former House Speaker Pearnel Charles Snr. 

The collision took place at the intersection of Perkins Boulevard and Queen's Hill in St Andrew around 2:00 p.m.

The policeman was driving his service motor bike. 

Senior Superintendent of Police Kirk Ricketts told The Gleaner that the crash is being investigated.

He said the cop was rushed to the Kingston Public Hospital.

"We are actually on location trying to get some better understanding as it relates to his injuries and where we go from here,” Ricketts said.
