Professor Lila Rao-Graham joins BCIC’s board of directors

British Caribbean Insurance Company (BCIC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Lila Rao-Graham to its board of directors, on January 31. Professor Rao-Graham brings a wealth of expertise in strategic business intelligence, data for development and data and knowledge management, areas crucial for navigating the evolving insurance landscape.

Rao-Graham is a professor of information systems at the Mona School of Business and Management at The University of the West Indies, Mona. She is the holder of the GraceKennedy S. Carlton Alexander Chair in Management Studies at UWI, Mona. Her research spans business intelligence, data quality, decision support systems, and big data for development.

She has published in top international journals, presented at numerous conferences and coauthored Business Intelligence for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises: An Agile Roadmap toward Business Sustainability, establishing herself as a leading voice in the field.

Beyond her academic achievements, Professor Rao-Graham actively engages with the business community, leading presentations, training sessions, and workshops, collaborating with various organisations and inspiring further research. This practical experience further strengthens her ability to oversee BCIC’s strategic decision-making in an increasingly data-driven world.
