Cocaine found in packages shipped to courier service

The narcotics police seized an undetermined amount of cocaine from a courier service in Kingston on Friday, April 26.

Reports are that about 12:00 noon, representatives from a courier service were conducting security screening on two shipments when they discovered a package containing cocaine concealed in a compartment.

A package consisting of mainly kitchen utensils was also examined where cocaine was also found concealed in a cutting board.

The narcotics police were summoned.

No one was arrested in connection with the find.

The police are asking anyone who may have information related to the find to contact the narcotics headquarters at 876-923-5729, 119 police emergency number, 311 Crime Stop or the nearest police station.
