Shem Hunter of Chatham in Adelphi was the recipient of a home, as part of a project titled ‘Build a house in one day’. The project was led by Jamaica’s Consul General to Miami, Oliver Mair, and Food For The Poor (FFP) in partnership with the US-based Housing Foundation of America, through which houses are provided to needy Jamaicans. The home build and care package distribution were among 14 projects that were executed in several communities on the Diaspora Day of Service, Thursday, June 20.
