Telecommunications company Flow says it has increased its mobile coverage availability across Jamaica to 88 per cent as it carries out repairs on priority mobile sites following the passage of Hurricane Beryl.

It says internet, cable and fixed-line phone service has been restored to 65 per cent of impacted communities.

Flow says it has also repaired 73 per cent of damaged cables.

And the company says, with daily improvements to its network connectivity, it will be focusing on restoring service to St Elizabeth. The central parish received the brunt of Beryl's impact on July 3.

Flow notes that it has mobilised all resources, including support from its parent company, Liberty Latin America, to restore service quickly to all affected customers.
