The South East Regional Health Authority (SERHA) is advising that the Accident and Emergency Department at the Spanish Town Hospital in St Catherine is back in full operation.

The department was forced to be relocated on Saturday due to flooding caused by heavy rains.

Patients had to be relocated to other wards.

As a result of the flooding, the hospital's operations were scaled back to emergencies only.

The authority says the hospital's services, including specialised clinics, outpatient care, and surgical procedures, have now been restored.

Meanwhile, SERHA is reporting that the Jamaica/Cuba Eye Care Programme at St Joseph's Hospital is also back in full operation.
