Annotto Bay, St Mary father shot in home invasion
An Annotto Bay, St Mary father was shot while at home with his children last night.
The 44-year-old furniture maker is now nursing his gunshot wound.
According to a police report, about 11:05 p.m. on Tuesday, the man and his children were at home when a gunman entered through an unlock door and pointed the weapon in his face and a struggle ensued.
During the struggle, the police said that another man, who is believed to be an accomplice to the gunman, entered the house and hit the homeowner on the head.
It is understood that the homeowner fell to the ground, but was shot in his left hand by his attacker, who fled the scene, along with his accomplice.
The man was later taken to the Annotto Bay hospital where he was treated.
