Taxi driver shot and killed in Iron River, St Andrew

The St Andrew North police are probing the fatal shooting of a taxi operator in Iron River, St Andrew, on Monday night.

The deceased has been identified as 41-year-old Gregory Francis, also known as 'Greg', of  Iron River.

It is reported that about 8:40 p.m., residents heard explosions and summoned the police.

Upon the arrival of the police, Francis' body was found slumped over in the driver's seat of a Toyota Probox motor car.

No motive has been established for the killing.

The Constant Spring police are carrying out investigations into the matter.
