Earth Today | Shipwreck Beach gets National’s attention during ICC 2024.

IN AN effort to combat pollution and preserve the natural beauty of the coastline, the National Baking Company Foundation (NBCF) and a team of volunteers proudly joined forces at Shipwreck Beach, Palisadoes, on September 21 for International Coastal Cleanup Day. NBCF and the volunteers came out with hands for change which lifted rubbles and trash from Kingston’s coastline, while also providing food and drinks for all the attendees who themselves assisted greatly with the annual coastal cleaning exercise.

This important initiative – one of many that National is doing to demonstrate its commitment to environmental stewardship – underscores the mounting need to combat the pollution that is destroying Jamaica’s stunning beaches. Here are some highlights from the cleanup.
