Man dies after being electrocuted while trimming tree in St Mary

A St Mary man died on Thursday after being electrocuted while trimming a tree in Enfield, Annotto Bay in the parish.
Dead is 46-year-old Leighton Merchant of Fort Stewart district.
Reports from the Annotto Bay police are that at about 8:25 a.m., Marchant was trimming a tree when he came in contact with high tension wires and was electrocuted.
The police were summoned and he was transported to hospital where he was confirmed dead.
The investigation continues.
