Update | Suspect and vehicle identified in hit-and-run of policeman in St James

Anyone with information is being asked to come forward.

The police are reporting that they have located the vehicle that was involved in the hit-and-run incident on Friday in St James that left a police constable critically injured.

They say the vehicle, a white 2016 Toyota Probox, was discovered in Blackshop, Amity Hall.

Investigations have identified the owner of the vehicle and revealed that it was being driven at the time by a man who the police have since named as a suspect.

He is Dillon Reid, also known as 'Bulby' or "CJ," of Blackshop, Amity Hall.

Reid remains at large with efforts by the police to locate him.

The police say the injured constable remains in hospital in critical condition.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Dillon Reid is being urged to contact the police immediately.

The police say further updates will follow as the investigation progresses.
