Discovery Bauxite was recognised by United Way of Jamaica (UWJ) board members and a host of national awardees at the UWJ Thank You ceremony held at The Jamaica Pegassus hotel on October 28 for donors and supporters of the organisation. The bauxite company is among the earlier company donors in Jamaica giving regular support and contributions via salary deductions each month. The four top donors from the workforce – Kenrick Lugg, Alfred Henry, Kerk Jones and Dwight Phillips – were among the individual awardees, while the bauxite company received a Silver Award for Workplace Philanthropy.
