Westmoreland businessman charged with woman's murder

A Westmoreland businessman has been charged with murder after he allegedly used a machete to chop a woman in her head during a dispute.

He is 42-year-old Dewayne Anglin, of Truro district, Frome, Westmoreland.

The police say Anglin and 29-year-old travel agent Sydonia Martin, also of Truro district, had a dispute about 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

The Westmoreland police say Anglin used a machete to inflict wounds to Martin's head. She was taken to hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday.

Anglin surrendered to the police and was later charged.
