Rain expected to begin Friday as cold front approaches Jamaica
The Meteorological Service has advised that Jamaica will experience a shift in weather conditions starting Friday, as a cold front is expected to affect the island.
Until then, a ridge across the northern Caribbean will maintain mostly sunny days and fair nights through Thursday.
Temperatures for Tuesday are projected to reach highs of 32 degrees Celsius in Kingston and 31 degrees Celsius in Montego Bay. Similar conditions are forecast for Wednesday and Thursday.
However, on Friday, the weather is set to change with showers and thunderstorms anticipated, especially in western and central parishes. Other areas of the island are expected to experience mostly cloudy skies.
Cooler temperatures are also likely as the cold front moves in.
Residents are encouraged to stay tuned to updates and prepare for potential rainfall and cooler weather heading into the weekend.
