Xaydon Mitchell (centre), GK General Insurance (GKGI) rep at JA BizTown, is surrounded by the GKGI team (from left), Nakia Hutton, business development officer; Chaluk Richards, general manager; and Rudi-Ann Williams, marketing officer, from the GraceKennedy Financial Group. Celebrating a 14-year partnership, GKGI recently renovated their storefront as sponsors, interacting with student representatives and patrons who are taught financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship lessons on how to successfully run a business in the JA BizTown programme. Since inception, GKGI continues to support the development of youth education and mentorship in the programme, which has hosted over 50,000 grade five and grade six students ages 10-12 as part of the experience with Junior Achievement Jamaica in partnership with the Ministry of Education.
