JN Group is now on board as the title sponsor for the highly anticipated Race for Hope 5K & Kids Fun Run, set to take place on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at 6 a.m., at the iconic Hope Royal Botanical Gardens in St Andrew.

Nature Preservation Foundation (NPF), managers of Hope Gardens, said the event “promises to bring together nature enthusiasts, fitness enthusiasts and families and other stakeholders for a day of fun, fitness, and environmental awareness in support of the preservation and development of Hope Gardens, Jamaica’s oldest and largest botanical garden”.

The 2025 staging of Race for Hope 5K will benefit from professional race management services by Running Events Jamaica, a leader in the field of race organisation in Jamaica. Known for their expertise and commitment to safety, Running Events Jamaica will ensure a smooth and memorable experience for all participants.

Under the title sponsorship of the JN Group, Race for Hope will combine physical activity with a mission to support the ongoing conservation efforts at Hope Gardens.

“JN Group’s commitment to social and environmental initiatives aligns perfectly with the foundation’s goals of promoting wellness, education, and sustainability. Through this partnership, NPF aims to not only raise funds for the restoration and continued upkeep of the Gardens but also to inspire the community to embrace healthy, active lifestyles within nature,” the organisers noted.

“Participants can look forward to a scenic 5K race route through Hope Gardens, showcasing the garden’s diverse landscapes and celebrating Jamaica’s rich natural heritage. With a dedicated Kids 3k Fun Run designed for young participants aged 6 to 12, the event offers family-friendly fun that encourages children to engage with nature while promoting fitness.”

Funds raised through the Race for Hope 5K will contribute directly to ongoing conservation projects managed by NPF, including garden restoration, educational programmes, and environmental stewardship initiatives.

As the title sponsor, JN Group will play an integral role in enhancing the participant experience, with branded race kits, on-site activities, and opportunities for community engagement.

“The JN Group is proud to be the title sponsor of this year’s Race for Hope 5K & Kids Fun Run. Supporting initiatives that foster environmental preservation and community development aligns perfectly with our values,” said Saniah Spencer, marketing executive at the Jamaica National Group.

“We believe in nurturing spaces where people can relax, participate in health and fitness activities, and enjoy the outdoors. And we’re honoured to stand alongside the Nature Preservation Foundation in conserving these beautiful gardens for future generations.”

“We are thrilled to have JN Group as the title sponsor for this year’s event,” said Carla Myrie, executive director of NPF.

“The Race for Hope is more than just a race – it’s a movement to preserve one of Jamaica’s most treasured green spaces. Together, with the JN Group and other sponsors we are awaiting confirmations from, our community of supporters, we are building a legacy of wellness and conservation for future generations.”
