Hotel assistant manager killed in Runaway Bay

An investigation has been launched into the fatal shooting of the assistant manager of a hotel in St Ann early Wednesday morning.

The victim, 37-year-old Odaine Lewis, reportedly worked at the Royal Decameron Hotel in Runaway, St Ann.

Lewis reportedly drove home to Coxheath, Runaway Bay, about 1:20 a.m. and was in the process of closing his gate when he was attacked.

He was taken to the St Ann's Bay Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No official motive has been established for Lewis' death.

The St Ann's Bay Criminal Investigations Branch is probing the matter.
