Nice, clean lines, and smooth, neat curves emphasise the beauty that is in every Cut Right Designs Ja design. They specialise in making beautiful wooden signs that make a statement in your decor.

The niche was there, but there was not an outlet in Jamaica. Avn Fullwood saw this gap and decided that she would capitalise on the opportunity.

"I saw that there was a niche for home decor and personalised, custom signs. I've noticed people were buying these signs online, and I knew I could provide them with the same signs, the same quality, just locally made with a personalised service," she told Outlook.

This gave birth to Cut Right Designs Ja in May, just in time for Mother's Day. Her family has a love for woodwork and with her background in advertising and events planning, she was able to get her name out there. Currently, they provide home decor signs, monograms, company logo cuts, wooden letters and shapes for every occasion - from weddings to baby showers - just to add something artistic and special to the memory that these events create.

Cut Right Designs Ja tries to accommodate their client's vision. So while they will come up with suggestions for the look, if there is something that the customer has in mind, they create these statement pieces as well. So they can provide the design and Cut Right just does the work.

To date, the favourite design for Fullwood is the business sign for Salon Bliss. "The Salon Bliss sign, based on the style font used, the colours and the cut for the backboard, that was a joy working on," she told Outlook.

The creative process is not an easy feat, and in many cases, it is the hardest. Fullwood explained that sometimes there are just so many avenues that one can take, which makes it difficult to choose just one.

However, it is all worth it when the process is complete and their clients are satisfied. For Fullwood, this is the best part of the job. "The smiles and excitement on the client's face when they see their designs come to life."

Cut Right Designs Ja is going full speed ahead working on perfecting their craft. Their only mission is to always out do their last design. They encourage future entrepreneurs to "be creative because different is beautiful. Work hard, stay focused, ask questions, keep learning and put in the long hours, and you'll achieve your goals."
