After a two-year hiatus, Island Child Style returned last Saturday evening, creating tropical fashion waves at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel. The B3 Parenting Magazine's event made its second staging, presenting 14 talented designers who showcased a number of trendsetting pieces.

In addition, 82 boys and girls, from toddlers up to teenage years, confidently strutted the runway, accomplishing the event's mission.

Michelle Jackson, editor-in-chief of the B3 Parenting Magazine, explained to Outlook that her initiative is definitely making steps in the right direction.

"It's a platform to give children an avenue to shine. What we really want to do is help them to step out and find confidence, because I really believe that the most beautiful child is a confident child and without a level of confidence, we can't succeed," said.

Exciting ensembles from five-year-old King Blessed, the youngest designer on the night, kept the stage blazing with his collection Kingston Lights, a blend of urban street styling and childhood innocence. Aloha from Polkadots, One Blood by Zaid Smith and Dolls, the first children line by Shenna Cardy, were some of the other major highlights of the night.
