CPJ gives team members a night to remember

Caribbean Producers Jamaica (CPJ) pulled out all the stops at its annual staff awards, which was also a celebration of the company’s 25th anniversary.

Over 500 team members and specially invited guests attended the event, held at the historic Good Hope Estate, Trelawny. Emotions ran high as long-tenured members of staff and top performers were awarded for their service and dedication to the company. The crowd celebrated their achievements and those of the company, in what was one of the most memorable events in the group’s history.

CPJ is the largest institutional distributor in Jamaica, distributing dry goods, food and beverage products, wines, spirits and more, largely to the hospitality industry. Staff and guests were treated to the same high-calibre hospitality, food, service and ambiance that their customers enjoy at Jamaica’s best hotels, restaurants and attractions.

Guests were invited to wear their favourite cultural attire as part of the night’s theme, ‘Cultural Fusion’. Colourful multi-patterned African prints and vibrant headpieces stood out in the crowd. Ladies with dresses that popped bright colours and men in fedoras and dashikis stole the show.

Good Hope Estate offered the perfect backdrop to the stylish scene. Decorator and event coordinator, Sharee Carey, did not disappoint. The property’s old stone buildings, water wheels and sugar factory remnants, were illuminated with light. In the middle, a large tent with see-through panels, was elegantly decorated with green and white draping and hanging garden lights. A canopy of tall trees could be seen through the tent’s skylight and all around the lush natural landscape, glowed under a starlit sky.

Top shelf wines and spirits flowed and were accompanied by a full buffet, catered by Pier 1. To top off the festivities, the evening included a guest appearance by dancehall and reggae singer, I-Octane. A celebration to be remembered, guests dined and danced well into the night.
