A visit aboard the largest CMA CGM vessel to call on Port of Kingston

The CMA CGM Almaviva, a container ship operated by the CMA CGM group made its inaugural visit to the Kingston Container Terminal on August 20, 2015, as part of its mission to load empty containers destined to be transported from Kingston to China
The massive vessel has a capacity of 8469 TEUs or 20-foot equivalent (container) units. Built in 2010, the ship measures 334.03 metres in length and 42.8 metres in breadth and can travel at speed up to 25 knots.
While in dock, staff from CMA CGM Jamaica Limited were given a tour of the vessel's operating systems. The vast size and height of the CMA CGM Almaviva, allowed a unique and panoramic view of the port.
