The Shipping Association of Jamaica, in collaboration with the Jamaica Environment Trust 'Nuh Dutty Up Jamaica' Environmental Awareness Campaign, the ships terminals, and other sponsors and stakeholders operating within the Newport West business community, is undertaking a major clean-up exercise in the Newport West Area on Labour Day, May 23, 2016.

The effort is intended to improve the physical environment and bring cleanliness and an aesthetic harmony to the area, which is the geographical centre of shipping and logistics in Jamaica. This is the first major clean-up ever done in the busy shipping district.
