The Shipping Association of Jamaica's (SAJ) member company Carib Star Shipping Ltd (CSSL)/ZIM hosted yet another customer cocktail event aboard the Zim Haifa, which docked at the port of Kingston, on February 22, 2017.

CSSL's deputy general manager, Kisha Williams-Hare, welcomed the guests and highlighted the fact that ZIM is the only shipping line that holds the title of unbroken service into Jamaica for more than 40 years.

Torsten Tyralla, Zim's commercial manager for the Caribbean and the Americas, also gave a brief address focusing on Zim's plan to have larger vessels serving the Kingston trade, and further reiterated the importance of the port of Kingston, touted as the largest trans-shipment hub for the line in the region.

Sjaun Morrison, sales and marketing manager of CSSL, highlighted the need for continued and increased support from customers to fill these larger ships primarily on their weekly services to and from the United States East Coast, the Caribbean and Canada.
