On September 1, 2019, Jamaica Fruit and Shipping Limited hosted its staff and stakeholders at a church service held to commemorate its 100th anniversary at St Peter’s Anglican Church in Port Royal, Kingston. This is the first of several activities to hail the trailblazing work of the pioneers who started the company and the generations of successors who have been continuing the excellent work.

Several of the most important shipping and logistics companies in Jamaica have been, in some way, influenced by Jamaica Fruit and Shipping, and they will join the company in the other celebrations planned for later this year. Rev Barrington Jones hailed the collective hard work which led to the longevity of the company and charged them to continue in like manner into the future.
