The highly anticipated soca season is fast approaching, and @twentythree was the place to be last Tuesday night for the launch of Tabanka Tuesdays.

The premium soca events, hosted by promoters SunNation and presented by Jamaica's premium rum, Appleton Estate, were off to a great start as specially invited guests were greeted by a flash flood of red light, fuelled by fire and cooled with mellow yellow, all the while engulfed in the sweet soca beats, courtesy of DJ Richie Ras.

To assist them with surrendering to such a worthy 'wuk up' cause, they made their way to an open bar and helped themselves to exotic desires.

Pausing for photo ops and mingling among themselves, the up-tempo beats rode waves and pulsated through their veins.

The movements soon began with a bounce from socaphiles, reciting word for word 2015's hit, Vagabond. Interchanging with popular tracks from 2014, the party quickly heated up into a wining frenzy. From there, it was smooth sailing to soca paradise.

DJ Smoke also had his way at the turntables, while Barbadian soca artiste Fadda Fox blazed the stage with an electrifying performance.

For those who missed the official launch of the series, you have three more opportunities to bask in the ultimate carnival experience, February 24, March 31, and April 7 . Why wait until the weekend? Seize the moment and live a little, or a lot, at Tabanka Tuesdays.
