Sandra Needham Ellis, Grade Six Teacher at Chetwood Memorial Primary, was quite eye-catching at the school's graduation ceremony last Thursday at the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral in Montego Bay.
Dr. Michelle Pinnock (left), Director of Region Four, Ministry of Education, seems quite animated as she engages Judith Whyte (centre) and Vilma Campbell, the school's principal, in conversation following the recent graduation exercise in Montego Bay.
Nevile Campbell (left), the veteran lifeguard at the Sunset Beach Resort on Kent Avenue, in Montego Bay, accepts his long-service award from Montego Bay's mayor, Councillor Glendon Harris, for his 40 years of service to the parish council. The presentation took place at the council's inaugural awards ceremony in the western city.
Patrice Hawthorne-Hall (left) and Karim Russell, members of the Montego Bay Community College's class of 2003, perform an item during the school's recent 40th anniversary valedictory service, in Montego Bay.
Marvetta Stewart (right), receives her Rotarian of the Year award from outgoing president of the Rotary Club of Lucea, Kelvin Hall, during the club's recent 51st presidential installation at the Grand Palladium Hotel.
Amelia 'Bre' Titus (left), the daughter of Gleaner reporter Mark Titus, shares lens with her favourite teacher Maureen Thompson, who is the supervisor for the Infant department at the Hague Primary and Infant School in Falmouth, Trelawny, shortly after the conclusion of last week's school-leaving exercise.
President of the Lucea Development Initiative, 80-year-old Nerris Hawthorne, was looking fabulous at the Rotary Club of Lucea's presidential installation at the Grand Palladium recently.

There was much to celebrate in western Jamaica last week as several schools had their graduation exercise. Other entities had installation services and award ceremonies. Today, we are giving you a little SOMETHING EXTRA from the graduation ceremonies at the Montego Bay Community College and Chetwood Memorial Primary School in St James; the Hague Infant School in Trelawny; the installation ceremony for the new president of the Rotary Club of Lucea in Hanover; and the inaugural St James Parish Council Excellence Awards in Montego Bay.
