The fancy launch of Simply Red

Delicious food, fine wine and fabulous fashion could only mean one thing: It is time for one of the most highly anticipated events of the year. And the Heart Foundation pulled out all the stops in making the launch of Simply Red a night to remember.

The home of the Chilean ambassador served as the ideal location for this auspicious occasion. Myriad reds were seen entering the lush green lawns, engaging in scintillating conversation over wine.

The launch, which functions as a Mini Simply Red, included the sampling of savoury and sweet offerings from Jacqui Tyson, Great House Caterers, Bumblebee, the Embassy of Chile, and Chocolate Dreams.

Gracious host Eduardo Bonilla welcomed all to his humble abode and offered a word of thanks to the Heart Foundation for putting on such an amazing culinary showcase.

Many speeches followed from sponsors and event ambassadors, who were all very happy to be on board. The recently crowned Miss Jamaica World, Dr Sanneta Myrie, also took to the stage to thank the Heart Foundation for its continued significant contribution to the field of medicine.

From there on, specially invited guests delighted in the wide range of dishes the booths had to offer.

The main event, which will celebrate the foundation's 26th year, will take place on September 25 on the lawns of Jamaica House from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. under the theme 'Flavour, Flair and Fashion', and patrons can look forward to experiencing the likes of two international, as well as many local, chefs we know and love, accompanied by a fine assortment of wines and entertainment from the soulful reggae singer Freddie McGregor.
