Wake up to Morning Bites during RW
As anticipation kicks into high gear for the culinary calendar event, The Gleaner-sponsored Restaurant Week (RW) on Wednesday, a select few met at the quaint eatery, Fromage on Hillcrest Avenue, to launch a new and exciting category added to this year's offerings, Morning Bites.
Come November 13-21, the 11th staging of RW will have breakfast added to its long-established special offerings of lunch and dinner. According to SSCO' Stephanie Scott, organiser of RW, "The concept of eating out at breakfast and by extension brunch, is fairly new to the Jamaican landscape. I am really proud to be among the first to explore and execute this idea. Above all, I hope patrons are looking forward to starting their days with Morning Bites."
Restaurant Week Ambassadors, diplomats and the organisers involved in the planning and execution of RW, broke bread and enjoyed each other's company in between sips of coffee, tea, and a few Mojitos, as the atmosphere took on one of a family gathering.
If there was anyone in the room who wasn't yet awake, they certainly were when waiter Dwight Nelson walked in and it the intimate setting became inundated with the delicious scent of savoury breakfast items.
Based on the presentation, taste and service at Wednesday's breakfast, come RW, patrons will be in for a delicious treat, at a very reasonable price that will have your pockets rejoicing as well.
