On Wednesday, the finalists in the First Global MoDA Grant 2015 presented their final looks to a panel of astute judges to determine who walks away with The FGB Moda Grant.

The judges; The Collection MoDA director, Kerry-Ann Clarke; creative director Fidge Fletcher; and head of marketing and corporate communications at First Global Bank, Peter Lindo, were presented with designs that took their inspiration from a range of subjects - from powerful black women to Ethiopian culture, which will make for a very interesting runway show.

"I was absolutely impressed by the finalists and their unique aesthetics as they told their individual stories through their designs," noted Kerry-Ann Clarke. She continued, "We are excited to present the 2015 FGB Moda Grant winner on November 20, and begin supporting them in pursing their dream. The financial assistance and the mentorship programme from the Branson Centre of Entrepreneurship is a significant and important step in the right direction as we strive to make a difference in the winner's life as well as to the business platform for the creative industries in Jamaica," Clarke ended.

This year's The Collection MoDA, set to be launched on November 4 during the premiere of the latest instalment of the iconic James Bond series, Spectre, will feature instalments of the designs of the finalists from round two's unconventional challenge inspired by the film series.

The finalists will present their final looks at The Collection MoDA runway show on November 20 at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel, where the recipient of the First Global Bank Collection MoDA Grant valued at $J250,000, will be announced.

The recipient will also receive a Samsung tablet from Black Ink Marketing, as well as business mentorship from the Branson Centre of Entrepreneurship. The winner of the People's Choice Award will receive a prize valued at $25,000.
