Make Your Day Wedding Expo set for Eden Gardens

On Sunday, January 24, award-winning wedding planner Helen G will hold the second Make Your Day Wedding Expo at the Eden Gardens in St Andrew.

Catering to educating not only future brides, but also wedding and event planners, the event's success can be measured by the fact that some of the guests for the one-day event are non-residents who register for the event online and travel to Jamaica to attend the expo that is guaranteed to give future brides a wealth of information, tips on wedding-planning, and dos and don'ts that will relieve the stress associated with planning the big day!

The event costs $4,000 and includes lunch as well as entry to the fashion show on February 13.

For this year's event, two lucky brides-to-be will walk away with a dream dress, courtesy of Bliss Bridal and White Lotus, known for its high end wedding dress rentals.

Also included in the Make Your Day execution for 2016 is a fashion show that will showcase not just existing designers and wedding attire from select boutiques, but also a Design a Wedding Dress competition for young and up-and-coming stylists. The winner will receive $100,000 cash as well as have his designs showcased in the Gleaner's Flair Magazine and across various media platforms. The deadline for submission is January 29.

According to Helen G, "we are excited about the response we have received so far, especially as it relates to the Design A Dress Competition. As was the case last year, we have clients coming in from overseas to attend the event, and it is a great opportunity to showcase Jamaica as a wedding destination."
